Vaccines, Nosodes, or Nature: A Journey of Fear, Faith, and Truth

Nosodes. The word alone stirs debate in the natural rearing world. Some see them as a crucial tool in disease prevention, a safer alternative to vaccines. Others believe they aren’t necessary at all.

The truth is, there is no simple yes or no answer.

Instead of debating theories, let me share my journey with you. Maybe you’ll see yourself in it. Maybe you’ll recognize your own path in the way I walked through fear, uncertainty, and ultimately, trust.

Years ago, when I first uncovered the truth about vaccines, I was horrified. Everything I had believed was a lie. The very thing I thought was protecting my animals was actually poisoning them. It was an awakening, but it wasn’t a peaceful one.

Because even though I knew my dogs would never get another vaccine, something still gripped me.

Fear.

Fear that without them, my dog would get sick. Fear that something unseen, something I couldn’t control, would swoop in and steal my puppy from me. Fear that despite my best efforts, I would fail to protect the animals I loved.

I had let go of vaccines, but the system still had its claws in me. My mindset was still shaped by everything I had been taught—that I needed something to prevent disease, that the immune system wasn’t enough on its own.

That’s when I turned to nosodes. They seemed like the perfect solution. Safe, natural, and yet still something I could do to shield my puppy from harm.

My First Puppy Without Vaccines

I was new to natural rearing. I didn’t know much, but I knew enough to stop poisoning my dogs with vaccines and to feed them raw food. That was the extent of my knowledge, and I clung to it like a lifeline.

Then my first unvaccinated puppy came along. I gave him nosodes religiously for six months.

And guess what?

He didn’t die from parvo. He didn’t die from distemper.Nosodes had worked.

At least, that’s what I told myself.

I was convinced my puppy had made it through because of the nosodes. But I didn’t yet see the deeper truth.

Stepping Into the Unknown

Years passed. I learned more. I saw more. And most importantly, I let go of more.

By the time my next puppy arrived, something inside me had shifted. I had a deeper understanding of the immune system and how everything is connected. I knew that the body protects itself when it isn’t poisoned from birth.

So this time, I decided to be brave.

I skipped the nosodes.

And not only that, I took this puppy everywhere. I exposed him to everything under the sun. I wasn’t reckless, but I wasn’t hiding either.

I’ll admit, there was still a whisper of fear inside me. What if I was wrong? What if this was the time it backfired?

But I pushed forward.

And that puppy?

He never got sick.

Not once.

That was the moment everything changed for me. That was the moment I knew.

Not just logically, but deep in my soul.

God designed the immune system to protect. It does not need interference. It does not need substitutes.

If it’s not poisoned from the start, it works.

Why I Still Send Puppies Home With Nosodes

Today, I am a natural-rearing Golden Retriever breeder. My litters are not vaccinated. They are not given nosodes.

Yet, I still send every puppy home with parvo and distemper nosodes.

Why?

Because I remember.

I remember what it felt like to stand at the edge of two worlds, terrified to let go completely. I remember the need for something to ease the fear as I transitioned to trusting nature.

Every family who comes to me is at a different place in their journey. They are all committed to natural rearing, but some are still unlearning. I do not want fear to ever drive them back to the thing we all know is deadly—vaccines.

So if nosodes give them peace of mind while they build confidence, then I want them to have that.

How Deep Does the Lie Go?

Some people say that both vaccines and nosodes are worthless because viruses don’t even exist.

Crazy? Maybe. Or maybe not.

I haven’t fully bought into that theory—yet. But there are people who will die on that hill. They are just as confident that viruses don’t exist as I am that vaccines are toxic and deadly.

And if they are that convinced, maybe they’ve just uncovered the truth before I have.

It makes me wonder....

We’ve been lied to about almost everything. Why would this be any different? Have these people simply uncovered the truth and accepted it before me? And if they are right, if viruses don’t exist, then what are we afraid of?

Wait a minute.

If you’ve followed my writing, you know I constantly preach that fear sells.

Fear sells vaccines.

Fear sells drugs.

Fear sells unnecessary medical procedures.

Fear even sells fake, processed pet food to convince you that your dog needs “balanced and complete” meals.

So now I’m really thinking… but more on that in another post.

So, Do I Recommend Nosodes?

The answer isn’t black and white. Nosodes have undeniable value, but how and when to use them depends on your comfort level and where you are on your journey. For some, they offer peace of mind, a safer alternative to vaccines as they transition away from conventional medicine. For others, they become another tool in their natural health arsenal, used only when truly needed. Either way, they serve a purpose and can play an important role in a holistic approach to wellness.

If you fully understand and trust the immune system, nosodes aren’t necessary for prevention. But if you’re still navigating this path, learning, unlearning, and building confidence in nature’s design, nosodes can offer reassurance along the way. They provide a sense of security, easing the transition from fear-based decisions to trusting the body’s ability to protect itself.

Nosodes aren’t an all-or-nothing choice. They can be a stepping stone for those still breaking free from the medical system’s conditioning, or they can simply be a reliable option for times when extra support is needed due to known exposure or illness. Regardless of how you choose to use them, they are an essential addition to any natural pet medicine cabinet.

I’ve been at every step of this journey, from vaccinating my dogs to using nosodes to fully trusting the immune system. I understand every stage, and my advice is this.

Do what you need to do while you’re learning and growing.

One thing remains true, no matter what you believe about vaccines, nosodes, or even viruses themselves.

Dogs who

:✔ Come from healthy parents

✔ Are weaned to raw

✔ Are not given chemical dewormer

s✔ Are not poisoned with vaccines

✔ Are not on toxic flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives

✔ Are not spayed or neutered too young

Have strong immune systems and thrive. They fight off illness with ease, if they even get sick at all.

They are not dying. They are thriving.

And that’s what really matters.
